Intake Manifold/Plenum Gasket

I have ran into a problem with the oem intake manifold/plenum gasket(were the manifold bolt to the head). The gasket blows out from high boost levels, I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem and what is a permant fix because the stock gasket will fail. I was thinking of machining the manifold/plenum for a o-ring.

Are the surfaces flat and clean? 55 psi shouldn't be popping that gasket out unless teh faces are damaged or the bolts are loose.

The gasket was tighten to oem spec and I re checked then when I did the hot re-tq on the head gasket. This is the first time that the gasket failed, the only thing is that I used an aftermarket gasket.

had this problem on a 12v with a big set of twins. i got the gasket from enterprise engine. also get the one that goes between the plate and the intake horn at the same time. the only think bad about them was the $$$$.

ok I found the gaskets, cummins part# 3969988, this gasket is for the air heater block and for the air horn. The plenum gasket cummins part # 3947530and this gasket is from an 03 and up, the good thing is that the gasket is metal. Every thining went together good and I do not have any more boost leaks, I was loosing about 5 lbs of boost from the leak.
