Installed Jammer III's
Installed Jammer III's
Installed Jammer 3 nozzles on my basically stock 98.5 (boost fooler). Took about 2 hours. What a major improvement in power and driveability. It seems that the amount of throttle input is greatly reduced for any given roadspeed. Sure spins my little HX35 fast also.
Now I need a Smarty (or maybe just a Van Aaken).
All the tech posts here helped me do this job the first time without any surprises.

No pop test. Yes, after reading all the articles on bad idle, I was very wary of the Jammers doing that to my truck. I do sense a slight "off beat" during idle now, but it is so slight, I do not consider it a rough idle, lope or stumble. I think because I am listening for it I hear it, but all in all, a terrific modification.
My only cuss and swear time during the install was pulling out the #6 injector, it was stubborn and did not want to come out (figures, the worst one to get at), and my truck took quite some time to get bled and restarted. Patience was the key in getting it re-fired.

that slight lope is normal, mine was more noticable before the smarty, now its barely noticable.
its really only noticable when coasting or slowing down.
my buddy just pop tested some rv275 and they do the same thing.
glad you got it done. if you can keep your foot out of it, you will see a mpg increase. i didnt see any drop when i switched from stage 1's to 3's.
get the smarty now and you will really love them!
