Question Injectors vs. Nozzles

Looking for some pros and cons. I see the nozzles are like half the cost of injectors so I see why it would be do-able. Im looking into some sort of injector/nozzle to put me around the 80-100 hp range. I plan on running the injectors with the stock turbo and everything in my sig. Thanks, Vern.

From what I understand, just nozzles are weaker than the whole injector, the metal is thinner. The same concept of boring out a cylinder, it's bigger, but thinner. Not a prob in most cases, however, when you start putting big juice to them, they crack.

Errr.... where did you find this information? I dont know of any "cracked" injectors. all an aftermarket, high performance injector is is a stocker "drilled" out. There are different processes in making the holes bigger, some obviously better than others. Somestart as blanks, some are stockers with larger holes.

Now the whole nozzles being weaker than the whole injector is false. Yes, the some whole injector tends to dyno more hp, but if a nozzle is installed correctly and tested properly it will produce just as much as the pre assembled injector.

I personally have installed several sets of the nozzles, with great results. i didnt test any of them, and every truck idled great.
I have also ran the high dollar sticks.
For the price, i would do the nozzles. Same hp for a third of the price?? its a no-brainer for me

80 to 100 HP, get some Jammer 3 nozzles. Be sure to shop around, if you pay over 230 bucks shipped, you paid too much. This plus your sig would be a great combo for a stock turbo on a 5 spd. Be sure to put a boost elbow on the turbo so you can build more than 20.5 psi of boost. You will need probably 25 to 30 psi to clear up the smoke and run the right egt's. Before the nozzles, be sure to upgrade that lift pump fuel system. At a minimum I'd buy a big line relocation kit, all pumps seem to work better when they push fuel as opposed to sucking it. Relocating or even better buying a Holley Blue for 120 bucks and eliminating the stock pump entirely.

Thats the kind of responce I was looking for. I figured if I could get away with nozzles that would be way more cost effective than the whole injector. Im only looking for ~100 horse and still maintaine streetablity, without changing out my timing box. Will I have any problems with 100hp nozzles and a Edge Comp Drag box? Until I can switch out my Superchips D-Box, thats what I'll be running with the nozzles.

I run a Drag Comp with Jammer 5 150 HP nozzles and a stock turbo. I usually drive around in level one but level 6 is a blast when you wanna go .....

I think that Jammer 3's rated at 100 HP are all that you need for the stock turbo. You will still be slightly overfueled with the Jammer 3's if you run a comp on the higher levels but those higher levels are just for playing anyway. Who tows or daily drives with everything set on kill? I went for the Jammer 5's because I want to eventually upgrade my turbo, If I was going to stay stock turbo forever, I would have bought the Jammer 3's.
