injector upgrade ?s

to start, im not a real injector expert here. i tow a fair bit, usually heavy and daily drive it. would 150hp sticks be too much fuel for a stock turbo?

I always recommend 75hp-100hp at the most when running a stock turbo. Quality injectors will always run cooler than dirty jammers etc.

I run Mach 1.6s about 100 hp and a smarty on an HO with a stock HX35,and that IMHO is as big as you want to go towing big loads. there is more then enough fuel to push the HX35 out of its operating range . in the winter with lots of cold air it runs perfect. in the summer in 100+ * temps you can push it easy past the 1400* zone
you can use 150s but I bet your eyes will be glued to the pyro. my.02

I'd go with the 200's....I love this combo! I tow 18k+ frequently with no problem. You still won't be able to tow until the turbo is upgraded anyways...get the 200's. Just don't install them till you have a turbo. LOL

I recommend upgrading the turbo with those sticks to at least something with an impeller around 60-62mm inducer. 150's with twins, is towing friendly. The biggest I would go stock turbo is around 90 hp, of course everything has to in good shape, with no boost leaks. Seen guys drive mach 6's on a stock turbo, but it doesn't last long and its more expensive in at the end of the day. Some guys don't use a pyro? Wonder why pistons melt, valves get burnt, head are cracked and turbo's get burnt out/coked up.

What gears you have?

Depends on Don. How big do you want to go? There are a lot bigger stuff other there than mach 6's. Will a bigger stick more power in a VP motor, is a better question. Typically you over 600rwhp on twins and/or a decent sized single. Add nos, anybody guess 700-900rwhp

1dumrednek, you still running the HO VP or SO VP? You could consider converting to a P pump if you want more volume (cc's).

Just find a 12v that has a P pump on it. Its cheaper, after that you need injector lines. A few extra parts depends on year of the truck, but still very do able. Dump the HO pump and go with an SO pump at least, if you have to run a VP pump. As for running mach 6's in a single (stock maybe???) turbo, I don't recommend it but its been done.

You'll get a lot more top end power out of the SO than the HO. The HO seems to limit power to around 500rwhp. A SO pump can get you into the 700's, with the right parts. I did 680rwhp on a set of mach 6'rs sticks and a SO pump.

Uprade

Hi guys. I have an 02 with nv4500. Stock.

I would like to upgrade. I read what was written about the injectors and I

have a question. Before in stalling the upgraded sticks, should one add/upgrade

the fuel pump? A Fass 150??

My other question is how can I increase fuel mileage??

Banks claims there system will increase fuel mileage by I think 10-15 percent?

If the turbo and sticks are upgraded at the same time, what is used to manage

the two??

Do I need a tuner now as well as just the turbo/sticks?

I would like to bring my Dodge to reliable daily driver 350-400hp / 650-700lb of torque

I also don't wan to blow up my tranny. NV4500.

I tow kinda heavy 19K GVW. but, when empty, I want to get 22+MPG or more.

Is this possible?
