Injector nozzle install

Got a buddy with an 02 and he just got a set of Jammer stage 3 Nozzles. So the question is, who knows where the thread is that shows step by step how to install them with pics? An another question, is pop testing really worth it and can we pull the injectors out put the nozzles on an then take them to someone to pop test? Thanks for the time!

Be very careful removing and replacing the nozzles. Some people don't worry about it, but I think pop testing is well worth the time and money. Better to "be sure it's right the first time". Also, spend the extra $30 or so and get all new o-rings and washers......including the delivery tube o-rings.

Sorry, I don't know where the instructions are, but I'm sure someone here does.

thanks crobtex....where can the washers and o-rings be found at?

I pick mine up at a big rig shop or Cummins Southern Plains. Most any Cummins or International shop should have them. Google "truck repair Killeen, tx" and you'll find a few places. Be sure and take your engine # with you. Some say they have to have it and others never ask.

thanks fmxr47....in the instructions it says to replace one at a time...how do i do this if i am taking them to somebody to have them pop tested?

fmxr47 where were you when I did mine!!! LOL Thanks for posting the link they need to put that into the FAQ section! One thing to watch out for is the groove in the top of the injector body is sharp!!! I have stake pockets on my 21' trailer that is around 1/4" thick, put the groove onto that to hold the body of the injector while you unscrew the nut holding the nozzle on. Makes it alot easier on you if you have something realy solid to lock the body onto.

Me, I didn't do the pop test if the old ones were running good then the new ones should also. Don't notice anything different between the old and new except a butt load of more power!!

Thanks, I bookmarked the instructions.

I've never heard the "one at a time", but you could use a Sharpie and number which hole they came out of.

If they all pop at the same pressure, it's a more efficient burn across all cylinders.

dropped2500 04-20-2008 09:27 PM

already set on doing pop test...seems like all there is to it is to do it...lol

There will be a good improvement over stock. I could not believe the difference when I installed my STG 4's
