Injector Hold Down Bracket

How critical is the torque value on these? We tried to torque them down to 8 ft lb. with my torque wrench but they got extra super tight (tighter than before). So we just went and tightened them down snug. Do yall think that will be ok? Oh yeah, these are Mach 1.5's.

Also, we lost one of the little blue plastic thingys that go in between the high pressure fuel lines. Is that a problem?

Thanks for the help yall.

it is good to torque the injector hold down evenly so that no difference in side load on the injector , the blue thing is important also , for every injection send a pulse thru the line and this keeps the vibration down and keep the line from cracking.

Well, I guess we'll have to rig something up for the little blue thing cause I have a strong feeling it's not on the truck anymore after our little joy ride. The truck is running like a top.

I thought that the injector hold down was 89 inch LBS and was pretty important. I'd find a new blue hold down too go to Cummins for it.
