My buddy has a 99 3500. HE has recently been having a dead pedal problem.When driving at a set speed for a while the truck loses all power,no matter how much fuel you give it it will not go.When you come to a stop everything goes back to normal.Scanned the computer and had a P0216 code(Injection timing control circuit).Removed the Edge Juice module and the dead pedal seems to have gone away.Local diesel mech says its the injection pump on the way out, no way the Edge is causing the problem.Has anybody else seen this or have any insite to it?

 

will it roll white smoke and run like poop? if so its the vp44 pump is bad

 

No white smoke,no jerking. Just no throttle when problem occurs.Goes away when you stop or idle down.Has not had problem with Edge removed.Don't know if it is coincidental or not.
