True. They were takeoffs. I wouldn't ruin my daily driven michelins for that.
Funny. Maybe it did catch a different view. Should I ask them for it?
Just a restacked Dana posi-trac.
The dumbest thing you ever saw posted on a forum? I beg to differ, unless you don't get on the internet much... Now was it dumb? maybe. Doesn't everybody get 5 minutes of "look at me time"?
Law Enforcement contacting you... Doesn't everybody have to comply to that? It would be obstruction of justice if you didn't. Nobody even knows what city or when this took place (Well, Hopefully you figured out that it MIGHT have happened on thursday...). There is alot of evidence lacking for this occurrence to be a case.
Funny. We have a jokester in the room.

All fun and games set aside... I am actually curious as to what damaged may have been caused by such an action. The worst thing that might happen would some stripes might need touched up. No where in the parking lot did the tires ever "dig into" the pavement. All damage is mere superficial and will be gone after the first rain, or a few windy/dusty days.
I agree...probably the dumbest thing I ever saw posted on a forum. Not only are you on the security cameras at the scene of the vandalism but now you are also posting evidence on the Internet so they can find you.
I hope you do realize that if Law Enforcement contacts me and ask for your address I have to comply with that request.

Mr. Ellis, thank you for your input in this matter. I assume you will be equally cooperative by forwarding this users registration information to my corporate headquarters ASAP. I will email you that information shortly. I would prefer you do it voluntarily, but if you require a subpoena, one will be obtained from the local law enforcement agency involved in this matter, once we assess the cost of repair to our parking area. Although our video equipment caught a good picture of the driver's face, his tag was obscured by the smoke. You should receive my email momentarily.

But Merrick... Nice work! That's one of those that make you feel good everytime you go back to the parking lot!

As far as nobody knowing where this took place.....keep telling yourself that and everything will be OK.
Oh and for the record....I like April fools as much as the next guy BUT I did NOT make that other post.

Thanks.
This forum is different.
I've got the same thread, to the letter, up at two other forums, and I haven't got the type of response I have from this site.
I can't believe a website that freely allows open discussion about modifying vehicles illegally is saying something about what has happened here.
I've even gotten the most grief from the person who sells products that are not legal to use on U.S. vehicles...

Someone owns that parking lot, they pay taxes on it. They paid to seal it and stripe it and have the right to expect no one will damage it. You in a moment of complete disregard for another persons property, damage it and then post proof of yourself doing that damage on an open web page.
You may not place any value on the other persons property, but that doesn't mean the owner doesn't have the right to demand restitution for your willful misconduct. To you it is just some black stripes on the pavement, but to the owner who pays good money to make his commercial property look nice, it is vandalism plain and simple
If I draw little circles in the paint job of your vehicle with a key, you will naturally feel that I should pay for the damage because I have no right damaging your property just because I think it is fun. I realize that a paint job on your truck and a parking lot are two different things but the principle remains the same.
Bottom line is, I would have no right damaging your property, just as you have no right damaging that parking lot. You would be in your right to have me arrested for damaging your property and seeing that I pay to repair it.
It is just that simple.
As far as me selling illegal parts, NOTHING I sell is illegal. It is up to the end user to only use them in accordance with the law.
In your original post you said "Tell me what yall think" I assumed you meant me as well.... so I did.

Come on guys.....This is going WAY too far in the LEGAL field. Anyone here know the LAWS for every state? No? Didn't think so.....My Bride of 25 years IS a Law Dog.. And I'm **** proud of her. I was born in 1960. Grew up during the "HOT ROD" years. WE ALL DID THE SAME THING.. And everyone knows that you did. Anyone that claims to be so clean, give us and I mean every member on here, the folks name you went to HS with. Childish? Depends on your outlook. A threat to EVERY diesel owner out there? Could very well be.And that is what bothers me. Bet there is not ONE person looking at that vid, that knows what a Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel laying down 500+ HP from a vid is. Do I condone what was done. NOT in my OLDER age. Would I have done the same thing in MY younger years??? Probabably The young boys are differant than we were. As far as HP goes, these boys have the cream of the crop. My first car was a dog. Man at that time, I'd have give a million bucks to have a truck like that. Easy men.. Take a breath. If he has broken the law, then he will have to pay for his mistake.
