hx35 silencer ring

why are people removing the silencer ring what does it do and how do you remove it.Any info would be great.

It just makes your turbo whistle more. and pretty simple to move. Try searching it and you should get tons of info. Or just wait a little while and someone can help ya out.

If you take off your intake tube from the turbo you'll see a big snap ring in the turbo housing. If you take that snap ring out the tapered ring behind it (silencer ring) will come right out. It's just to hear it whistle a little more.
