Just let the rest of us who want the conversion know, how it all works out. So we can sit back and think about the day when we can do the same...

We did one on the 03 because of u joint problems. Picked up 1.4 mpg, you can feel a bit of a difference to. It just seems something is a bit better. Install was went good all the parts fit good and such, only thing i dont like is they stick out like 5-6 inches and it looks really goofy. Have about 2k on it and all is well so far.

I would like to see some pictures of these new hubs. I need to do wheel bearings in my truck soon. So i have been considering this for a long time now.

What kit are you using also?

i orderd the emc kit and the cad delete. had trouble with some vacume lines before and use my 4 wheel drive alot so i like the pice of mind. getting better milage wold be nice to. ill get pics up as soon as i can get it all back together, depends on how soon the parts come in tomarrow. really when u look at the cost of the kit compared to new bearings its not all that bad. i needed rotors and the kit comes with those too, so i think i made out really well.

CAD is central axle delete it replaces the actuator and lets the hubs do the locking/unlocking its 3/4down on the hub conversions page they have 35spline and 30spline.

I'm interested in this conversion as well...keep up posted and good luck

how do we know which options to get for our trucks? Like if mine has CAD from the factory or not etc...??

I am looking to get the EMS Kit or the dynatrac kit? Anyone know how these stack up to each other & what are the advantages/disadvantages of each kit...does the dynatrac also stick out 5 or 6 inches as well??

i looked pritty hard at both kits and they looked really close but this one is almost half the price. if u look under ur truck on the pasinger side of the axle there will be a a box with i think 2 vacume lines runing to it thats the cad. i dont think 2001s had it i dont know what the setup is though. ill take pics as im doing it to post. i dont know what kit rob got eather so im hopeing mine dont stick out as far, id like it to be coverd when i get the 315 60s and rims on my truck. might have to go with 10" rims in sted of 8" if they do stick out that bad
