How hard are tow mirrors installed?

From what I gain they don't have power tow mirrors. Is it just an easy swap with the power/defrost connectors left undone or what? Do you have to re-wire anything?

It is an easy swap if you do not want to go back with the power or defrost, no plugs are required, or you can go with the 3rg gen tow mirror which is offered with power and defrost and install it on a 2nd gen base, there are several people on here that have done that, it can get expensive though if you have to buy both sets just to make one set.

so I could buy the non-power tow mirrors and it is a simple swap? If I don't like them I can go right back to the old ones with now probs?

yeap, I removed the power mirrors on my truck and replaced them with the tow mirrors and I would never go back, I love them, you can actually see behind you when pulling a trailer.

Thanks, they are a huge improvement over stock. There are some people on here that bought some aftermarket tow mirrors that bolt right up with power and heat you just have to wire the plugs up, but I personally don't like the looks of them, they may have gotten them from Geno's but not for sure. They telescope in and out like the ford mirrors, I believe.
