How to Install Stacks in the Bed?

This is my first time installing stacks and wanted to know how most of yall bolted them down in the bed, basicly how yall installed them. What my plans are is to cut a hole in the bottom of the bed and run flex pipe from where I cut the exhaust off underneath the truck into the bed and somehow bolt the Y pipe to the bottom of the bed, I'm guessing and put a 45 cut on the stacks and bolt the stacks to the bed. Sound good? Any suggestions and pictures are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Eric

thats a peice of 4x6x1/4 steel boxed on both ends and the stacks welded into it

i know this isnt waht your looking for, but if you havent already bought the round pipe, this is cheaper

Sorry not the clearest picture, but mine are bolted at each stack to the front bed rail via a tab that is welded to each stack. The splitter pipe is also bolted to the floor of the bed through a tab that is welded to it.

I bought the Grand Rock kit. I got pics in my gallery. The GR kit has a bracket/clamp that mounts to the corner of each pocket/rail, and the center clamp mounts through the bed (2 bolt holes).

Go on ebay and do a search for 5"x36" Miter Cut Stacks. That's how I found mine.

Hey Blackdiesel02,
That is the exact same set up I was thinking of doing with my truck. I found that it was rather expensive to run the Y- pipe design so I thought about building a box and fill it with smoke, with two holes coming out of the top for the stacks. Me has got a few questions for ya,
Do you get smoke from both stacks at the same time?
Does it make the exhaust setup any quieter?
Thanks for your Help and the picture,
Wheelo

Heres a couple pix of my own setup I built. I have since built a couple more of these and sold them locally, very good flowable design! it has complete even flow out of both stacks, due to a fliped peice of angle iron welded inside the tubing overtop of where the exhaust enters the tube, and then the angled ends of the tube!, any more Qs just ask. I do have more pix of the whole setup somewheres, just gotta find them
