Help stacking boxes
Ok guys I have a truck I am setting up a 2002 CTD for a friend and he wants to stack a FMS with an EZ. When stacking boxes does it matter which box is plugged into the MAP first (example EZ into MAP and FMS into EZ)? If so which one should be attached to the MAP?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Why would you do this? The FMS is both a timing and a fueling box. I understand stacking an EZ with a fueling only box, like a TST, but why would you do it with an FMS?? FMS 'wild' timing setting is a lot of timing. Is there more to this that I am missing??

Just for future reference of those who may find this by search:
The reason you always hook the "wire tap" box to the MAP first, it because
most derive fueling info from boost signal, which a timing box will screw up.
Fuel connected to MAP-- timing connects to fuel and CAN BUS.

Well on the Blue Chip Diesel web page it has link where it says "click here to test drive the FMS Box". It pulls up this neat screen where you can 'push' the buttons on the box with your mouse. In the FMS menu, there is a timing menu and there it says "Timing: OFF, MILD and WILD "
Furthermore I was told by a guy that the WILD setting will allow about 3° to 4° more advance than an EZ......

I've been told by Chip (of BlueChip) that the FMS box does not add timing. The mild/wild/none option is for people that stack boxes. You set the timing option based on what timing box you are running, and it alters the fuel delivery of the FMS.

Wow, I never would have guessed that !! I am glad this came up.. I was thinking about getting one, since it seemed to be timing and fuel and very adjustable.... So those settings in timing are for if you stack... wierd... Why doesnt chip just also add a timing feature to it??
