help please

I got in some deep mud this afternnon and really had to get on it pretty good to get out. Now there is a squeaking sound coming out the exhaust. Sounds just like pulley squeak. the truck was not all the way warmed up. I let it idle a few minutes. It also died and was hard to start. I think it drained the vp if possible. what cold the squeking be. really noticeable at idle, but cant here it as much when given fuel.

pretty loud out the tailpipe. Very little under the hood. when mashed it to get out of the mud and then let out of it quickly the turbo really squealed

Thumbs up

Exhaust leak, loose exhaust bracket or baffle tube broke inside the muffler?
You might try getting under the truck and bang on the exhaust with your hand to find something loose. I found a bad cat on my squealing gasser this way.

Could use a little more help guys. It is more of a rattling sound. Cant really hear it under the hood or at the tailpipe. Stand behind passenger door or crawl under the truck and it ratttles bad. It has got me a little worried. Could it be a bad valve?Truck runs fine. I don't see anything loose that could be causing it.

Get to one of the tool trucks -Snap On or tool store and find a stethiscope that has a metal rod on the end of the hose , use that to find sound , loudest spot touched is what your looking for .

I had a heat shield get loose on a gasser cat. I've found gravel in the heat shields too. With the thing in park, parking brake set, cold motor idling and no kids in sight, I got under it and banged the cat with the bottom of my fist and found the loose cat material once too.

mine did the exact same thing when i went mudding and broke half my exhaust off. it ended up being 2 of exhaust hangers broke off and the exhaust was rattling against the frame slightly, which caused a very bad vibrating noise, i too thought it was coming out of the back of the exhaust, but it was near the downpipe, check all of your exhaust mount.

i have checked all the mounts and thy look fine. And the cat is gone. I am now wondering if it is a valve. What would one have to do to blow a valve?
i wasnt looking at my guages when i was getting out the mud but i would say it was at around 2500 rpm. But the motor was still cold. It happened s soon as i left the house.Geez I hope its not valve or rod or soething. The truck seems to run fine otherwise.

i doubt it is a rod/valve. double check to make sure none of the exhaust pipe is touching anywhere from the back of the turbo to the tail pipe. almost sounds like the bottom of the down pipe it tapping the fram. take you air intake hose off the turbo and make sure everything looks good in the turbo. wheel spin freely? any play in the shaft?

I suddenly got a loud squeak/ rattling sound from my exhaust a while back and it moved all over the truck when I tried to find it, but I found the exhaust pipe cracked lengthwise where it goes over the rear axle.
It would squeak when the engine would shake (and you know how smooth these are)
Banks replaced it for free and now it’s quiet.
