I have a 2001.5 2500 2WD with gages and 4" exhaust along with a AFE Mega Cannon w/Outerwears pre filter. I have the stock auto transmission.. what would be easier on the trany? Powerpuck, or EZ..Trany has 35,000 miles on her. Thanks allot..this is my first post and I do enjoy reading all the great info here..

 

Look into a BullyDog Torque Dog... I really like mine..

 

The puck will be easier on your tran. because I think it gives less power. I've got an EZ, and love it. If it were me, I'd go EZ.

 

I have just the EZ and with only 32K on tranny had to get it upgraded because TC was slipping. EZ was on for one year, or about 12K before this happened. I feel like it would have lasted longer with less towing, but my trailer is only about 10K heavily loaded anyway.

 

I've got a stick, but reading posts on here for almost 2 years, it seems that if you add any power to the autos, you're going to need some aftermarket help pretty quick.

 

Go with the EZ or a Comp Untapped. I have seen autos last a long time with the EZ and I have seen them go south really quick. It is best to upgrade the tranny.
