Re:Headlight thoughts

Where did you guys get your 100/80watt bulbs and what brand and whatnot? I havnt found anything locally and online wants a ton of money for them. Also can I upgrade the stock foglights to 100watt? Will any of this overload the wireing?

Re:Headlight thoughts

captain I was in pep boys today and they had the brite white bulbs 9004 80/100 for 29.95 that will fit some dodge rams. I have the sport pkg which has the dual lights 9007 I am wondering if I can change only the high beam element only and increase my brights

Re:Headlight thoughts

My fiancee' has a 99 Sport with some aftermarket bulbs that are kinda rainbow colored but pretty bright. As most know, the Sport has different headlights than non-sport but it looks like the clearcoat is begining to peel away from some areas of the lens. They are also just wired stock (one set on at a time). I don't know if it's the heat or what.

Re:Headlight thoughts

my 01 sport has both elements lit when the brights are on is this normal. I am the 2nd owner so I don't know how it was at the factory. I drive 12-14 miles in the country much of the time in the dark so I want alot of light on these backroads. I don't want to blind other drivers so I was hoping I can just increase the intensity in the bright light>

Re:Headlight thoughts

i dont know if the stock foglights run off of a seperate relay, but i just replaced the bulbs in my walmart fog ligths when i purchased them and they are super bright with the 100w for the fogs, and 80 watt for the low beams

ive never had anyone flash me for bright lights over the past 1.5 years that the bulbs have been in place....

both my headlights and foglights are cool blue, i wished i got the just plain bright white lights... i think they give off a better light than my blue lights.. mine kinda look like HID lights when you drive down the road

I got my lamps from a truck stop in Kentucky. They are "Lite Glow" brand in the Xenon White version. I paid $12.99 each for them. The web site is www.liteglow.com. As for the fog lights. I can't find any higher wattage replacements for the stock fog lights. The lamps are 896's and those are only available in the very dim 35 watt version.
