Headlight harness question
I recently replaced 80/100watts bulbs with silverstar ultras and harness and have much better visibility. The ultras seem brighter or at least give off a better usable light. Does the clear lenses make that much of a difference? I have no yellowing in the stock lenses and light seems great as is.
I don't mean to sound like one of those guys that always say I did that to but......I did that to as a matter of fact last night put in a silver star ultra on one side and left the other one in (100/80) and there was no difference to mention. JM .02$
Glad to see you got those. I had similar problems aiming mine. Mine have done excellent since the beginning of November 07 when I got them.
Today I installed a set of those ebay headlights.

A major improvement! I do wonder why I didn't do this earlier.
They are a bear to aim because I can't get to the adjuster with my bumper on, need to remove the inner fender and adjust from there, and the turn signal bulb is indexed in a way that the light presses against the connector.
Installation is OK, I'll see how they hold up.
Just my 2c

Where did you get those bulbs from>
I changed out just one headlight to the Silverstar Ultras and got many friends asking me if I knew I had one headlight brighter than the other.
I believe they do a better job of lighting what's ahead on the road.

i heard about the bulbs from daniel sterns website. i know in canada the ge nighthawks are available at canadian tire or part source.
as for availability in the us, i don't know which stores sell what, but i am pretty sure i have read other threads that state guys have bought the ge's or philips bulbs in the us.
from what i can tell, these are the only two bulbs available in the us & canada without ordering online. his website states 2 other good choices - i think, which can be ordered online at various places. i think these online retailers are over seas.
hopefully somebody can clear this up if they know. . . for both canada & us
haloman - how did you adjust you new housings?

i agree, i also fall into this category despite my earlier post. a long time ago i bought super white piaa's (comparable to silverstars i believe). like i said i was just stating from the website. but my next bulbs will be nighthawks unless others are available as per previous post.
did the adjustment screw max out, or is is there still room for more?
i feel pretty dumb, here i was adjusting my headlights by sliding washers behind the mount points!
there is only one adjustment screw per housing - which directions does it do?
