Head Work?!?!

How much would head work cost me to get done... a rough estimate, of course... port and polish for sure, i know head studs are 4 or 5 hundred what else??

around $340 for o-rings or firerings depending on the shop. not sure on the P&P

wow... well for my application what should i look into doing??? i'm going to twins (s400 on bottom) along with nitrous, mach 6's...

all the bells and whistles, you might be wanting to be hitting 65-70psi to get the full effect of the twins.

There are lots of options..... Normally a 24v head should be checked for cracks and pressure tested. If good I would go ahead and rebuild the head, valve job, new seals, guides etc. You will need to have the head cleaned, decked, and either o-ringed or fire ringed. You could also add some upgraded valve springs. As for the porting a basic good port job runs around $800 but a full blown job can runs several times that amount.

i have a fully built head and a zz fab intake, larger valves, intake porting, exhaust porting, new seals, guides, seats it was pressure checked decked, and was fire ringed. the hole job including the 1000 dollar intake manifold with 3 nitrous spray bars, water/meth ports was a little over 3500.00

Mine was over 3k by the time I replaced valve guides, added F1 springs, new seals, new valve cut, mag flux test, deck, o-ring and new slightly modified marine gasket
