If i was to install ARP head studs now and then later on down the road decide to oring or fire ring the head, can the same head studs be reused or do you have to purchase new ones again? My buddy told me that head studs stretch and that i might not be able to reuse the studs. Thanks for the help.

 

Should they be replaced? Dont know.
I reused mine.

 

I'm sure you can reuse them, because they are harder than the stock bolts and don't stretch as long as they are initially installed properly. You should be fine.

 

Thanks for the replies, i want to put new studs in the truck and leave the head the way it is for now, i just want a little extra security with the studs. Since the studs should be fine to reuse, then i wont have the head o ringed right away, thanks for the help
