ok guys, i blew my stock gasket out of my rig thats in the sig, just baought new studs and the works. the only thing i am not sure about is what head gasket to go with. i have had a few tell me go with the 12v gasket and then punch out the coolant holes, have been told to stay with the stock one, and then i have been told to go with the 03 and up gasket. can you guys please help me, i am ready to put this thing back together but i need a gasket to do it

i think i read somewhere bout the marine gasket,
piers has a copper gasket,
or should one go with the stock cummins gasket?

I hear that the copper gaskets hold up really well. I only know of one truck around here runnin one, and he has twins. So far, no problems. Kind of pricey i think but you might as well do it up right.

 

I have heard the multi layer gaskets are the way to go. I am not sure where to find them..
