I think he is talkin about the track bar kit that is made by the same people that make the DSS. It allows for the use of a 3rd gen trackbar on 2nd gen trucks, i think

The track bar upgrade is awesome.

I just did both the steering stabilizer (DSS) and the track bar upgrade, now the truck drives like it should. No more sawing the wheel back and forth to stay in the lanes. It was the best mod I have done on any of my trucks, hands down.

03 Track bar Upgrade

Hey there, my dad regularly tows a float and backhoe with his 1996 Dodge 3/4 Ton CTD stock. He has been experiencing this swaying all around and has been replacing his trac bar every six months for a while now. It aint so bad because you only have to buy it once for $400 CAD and then its lifetime warrenty so they keep on replacing it but it doesnt fix the problem. My question is along with the DSS should he get the DTprofab adjustable trac bar kit or just go for the 03 upgrade trac bar kit?

it was a toss up for me on witch track bar kit to go with,i went with the DTB but have read on hear that people are happy with the DT pro fab as well.i think the DT would be better if you are going to raise the truck with tall springs because it is adjustable.i have the D25 springs in my truck and axle is off a little but it is no big deal.it doesn't affect anything.hope this helps...

Was the 03 Trac Bar 200 US?
If it was, then with the kit it would be $329 US (200 for the trac bar, 129 for the kit) which is only $20 cheaper than the DTprofab kit which looks alot beefier. I dont need the adjustable and probably wont need it in the future but for that price difference, I think I will probably go with the DTprofab kit. But for now, it will just be the Steering Stabilizer since I have already put back on a stock trac bar.

The track bar from DC was $360 CAD and change. Solid Steel had/has a promotion on to sell both the DSS and 03TB for $350 CAD plus taxes. All tolled the upgrade cost me around $725.

The thing I like is I don't have to worry about changing out the Trac-bar for a looooooong time. I use the truck for work and don't need the downtime.
