Cheaters???? LOL While it is noble to make all your power with diesel alone, my reality is I can't afford it. Drugs are cheaper. Well........... I guess I could afford it if I didn't want to spend all my money on a house and wife and kids and everything else in life!

Must be nice Big Blue, I have no choice but to run at least windsheild washer fluid in my system. Water alone like you run will quickly turn to a lump of ice where I live. Wonder if ice cools better than water????

Glad you got some water on your truck. Going easy on the meth is a good idea for long term durability.

I see the DynoJet deflated the digits a tad

Blue, how much power did you think you picked up running the meth system? How much smoke do you have running on #2 at WOT? I've been told that more smoke you have the less power from methanol? I've been throwing around the idea of running nos/meth shot this summer just so that I can clean-up the smoke at wot.

Yeah don. That's why the meth got added.

Mike, I dunno. I've only made one or two runs with the system and I'm only running pure water. Power is up just a smidge with pure water but not over 20hp. On #2 only at WOT with the TST on 7 I have a very light haze. Almost no smoke at all once the turbo lights. I think you'd be better off with nitrous cause it actually adds pure oxygen and that's what burns the fuel. Not meth. The water/meth I mainly got for EGT control (I hate being over 1250*) and to hopefully knock me up to 500hp with this turbo before I go to twins.

Glad to hear you got the water system working!

It is amazing how much that water can cool the temperatures in our engines.
I don't know if I told you or not, but you may want to add some water system lubricant to the water. After I took the Snow System off my 96' to go to Scheid's Water System, I saw rust in my cylinder head intake area (below the air horn). You can buy the water system lubricant @ NAPA. It is called "Number 13." Since the install of my Scheid Water Inj. System, I have had no problems with rust at all. The lubricant will help the water pump too.

IMO, Potential for rust should be eliminated if engine is run for a while after turning H2O/Meth system off. I idle truck for minimum of 5 min... or (even better) when possible, drive it on the hwy for a min or two.

I remember you mentioning that john and I plan on getting some. It really is amazing. I've never seen my EGT's go backwards while at WOT. It's nice.

Went and got the system tuned today. Hooked the air compressor up and got it set to come on at 20psi and full on by 30-35psi. It's really interesting to watch it ramp itself up with the nozzles out of the intake. It ramps up hard and fast. You can actually see it ramping itself up and listen to the pump change pitch. Kinda interesting to me.

Somehow, I knew that you'd say that. Saving up for a tranny now. Or should I get twins first?

Careful Blue, be sure to do studs before the wiper fluid. I got greedy and blew my headgasket with wiper fluid and stock bolts.

Yup. Studs are going in as soon as I get my tax refund back which should be next week. Until then I've got straight water in the tank and I ain't gonna use it unless it's an absolute must.

I've lately decided that I'd like to do water, but no meth.

After setting up JUST water, then you can add some nitrous.

After that, LOX injection is your next best way to drop EGTs. Crankcase temps will get a little toasty, though-- what with the melted pistons and all

As I think we had discussed in one of the other "water injection" threads, IMO taking the nozzles out of the air horn and "placing them" where you can see them spray really helps. I know it really helped me "tune" my old Snow System.
