good out of the box valve body?
I just bought a BD Power Valve Body for $430+100 core from http://www.xtremediesel.com. Then I talked to my local tranny shop about getting it installed (because I don't like messing with auto tranny's) and they told me there is nothing special about that one and they could have gotten me a way better price....
Anyways, the local shop said it would cost ~$150 to service the tranny and install the new VB. (drop pan, adjust the bands, install VB, new filter, seal it back up and fill it with fresh fluid)
Anyways - might be worth talking to your local tranny shop.... wish I did before I ordered mine.

Of course there is always the Cheetah manual shift valve body
.... the only problem is that when it shifts it's like getting hit in the teeth with a ball peen hammer!

I am now running a DTT which had replaced a Transgo shift kit installed by a nationally known Diesel 'Expert'. It was the absolute worst as it wouldn't down shift to 1st unless I came to a complete stop. Talk about smoking an intersection when running a stop sign. It had a mind of its own (limp mode every blue moon - not related to the required resistor)... Anyway, the DTT was installed by TNL in Hamden. All I can say is that the DTT is a night and day difference from the shift kit. We can go for a ride if we're both down in Derby on a Coffee night. I also had the accumulator changed and some other stuff - I don't recall right now what he changed as well.

I might still have mike do it. he does his own, he just uses dtt parts. I was going to have him do everything but I had some money problems. Im going to be doing the converter and will have the pan down so i figure I might as well order one and do it myself
Hey 4RnrRick where ya from? fill in your location so we know. If you are in MD we (chapter #33) will be putting in a TC and VB this weekend.
