Gauges VS Edge Moniter

Anyone have a preference for the Edge Juice with attitude with the Moniter Vs. Having a set of real gauges on the A-piller. I was looking at moving toward gauges before a smarty, but niticed the Edge Moniter has the gauges built in. Just trying to maximize space/power/budget while still doing the job right. Thanks to all.

I would rather have the ols fashioned gauges. Easier to get a ballpark out of the corner of your eye. And I prefer the old fashioned analog gauges. That is a personal preferance...

With the edge you can have 10 different gauges versus the 3 or 4,i have the edge and love it.

So I am correct in saying that the moniter will allow me to moniter all the vitals of these quirky trucks? Thanks.

yes. it will monitor the four major things we need to see: fuel pressure, egt's. boost, and trans. plus, just about everything that the ecm can see (another 12 things or so). some guys on here have said that having both mech. and the edge, fuel pressure read 2 lbs. higher on the edge. all in all, a very good unit that is pretty accurate and does its job.

I way prefer analog gauges. Sorry, but in my opinon they are more accurate, and reliable, and react faster. Its a lot easier to see how fast a needle is moving than how fast numbers are changing.

Let me know what you come up with.........

But for the record I have all but counted out a monitor, I am on to thinking I want a Di-Pricol Optix now.

It's only been a month now and I still have yet to buy something.

I have the juice and love it also. I've had the truck for a month or so and was in the same dilemma about gauges.
The juice has warning alarms that you can set to whatever you want, so if something is off, you don't have to look, it will let you know. I didn't want my truck glowing like a christmas tree from all the gauges in the cab anyway. I like the clean look. And the pilar mount is pretty obstructive.

I used to think that too , until we bought a tractor with an all digital dash in it, i have no trouble reading it with a REALLY quick glance , with a monitor you would be looking at one display , instead of having to look at 3 or more gauges , the monitor is easier/faster , IMO.

I wish there was something out there for the 12 valves.

Signature600 (I can remember you live in Ohio, but not your name) has the Outlook monitor on his 95.

And the pillar aguges don't really block any more than the pillar does, at least with my Pro Pod. And they look sweet, espeially all lit up at night!
