Gauge lights

I've installed an Autometer oil pressure gauge in the
cubby hole and a fuel pressure gauge on the center
console. Can I connect both gauge lights to the wires
that used to power the light to the bigger compartment
thats below the cubby and above the trans console. How
much power would these two guage lights draw? Anything
to worry about? Sure would make things easier

they shouldn't draw very many amps depending on the wattage of the bulb.... some autometer gauges used 2 watt bulbs and will draw anywhere from .14 to .16 amp depending on voltage 14v to 12v respectivly. other autometer gauges used a 4.9 watt bulb on the bigger gauges and it pulls .41 to .35 amp depending on the voltage 12v to 14v respectivly.... i hooked mine up to my radio dimmer wire as it supplys 12v only when the headlights are on so at most i added 1.23A to my circuit and that shouldn't effect anything what's the worst thing that could happen blow the 5 amp fuse... upgrade to a 7.5A it won't hurt..... mine's been going for 8 months or so now.....

oh ya if you are wandering.... lower voltage with the same load (watts) will result in higher amperage.... just an FYI
