Fuel System for 12v

Just put 191's in my truck and it seems like im running out of fuel. I dont have a fuel press guage yet and stock fuel system. What options are out there. What all do I need. I wouldn't mind putting new lines on as well.

fass, air dog, holley Blue, Carter pump?????????? I saw a holley blue at advance for $125 that would be a simple install. Im trying to get things together for a fuel press guage and pusher pump.

I would first get a fuel pressure gauge and see what it's making and go from there, you can make alot of power on a stock fuel system. Have you done anything to the overflow valve at all?

the stock lift pumps seem to get weak with the time (over 200k on the stock pump). not making good pressure anymore, under high power! replacing mine made it all better!

A fuel pressure gauge will definitely be helpful for diagnosis. It will help you with figuring out whether it is your overflow valve or your lift pump. The pumps are really durable when treated right and can move a lot of fuel.

That ticking you hear is just the pump lobe riding on the camshaft, all the 12vs do it, some more than others but it's dosent mean the pumps bad. That stock spring must have been really brittle, I cant get over how the spring just broke.

id save the money for a after market system and put it towards a fuel filter, or an overflow valve. Make sure to check the pre-filter while your at it too!
