Fuel Filter Causing Low FP Really Soon

I don't know what is the cause of this. I changed the fuel filter 3000 KM ago. Had 16 PSI idle when first installed. After 3000 Km down to 14 PSI idle just changed to a new one today back to 16 what would cause the drop so soon in FP the truck is brand new think I got into some really dirty diesel?

Jamie, sounds like you did. I got a tank awhile back that caused me to change my filter twice. On the third one now and all seems to be better. Just going by how it runs as I have not installed gauges yet. Watch it and see what happens.
