front axle and brakes

lok first the brakes, my rotors are gone, need new ones, iv been told by a shop here to go with sloted rotors hans down, not drilled, sloted only. and if i want a really good pad go with the green stuff. any one running eather? is it worth it, i meen i can get the rotors for just a little bit more then good regular rotors but they have to be ordered which means my truck has to sit on stands for a while. next is i got it all tor apart, i was thinking about doing the locking hubs to help with milage and hopfuly get rid of that vacume crap. anyone done it? is it worth it?

Slotted rotors will definitely help. Drilled rotors have a tendency to crack, don't bother with it. EBC Pads are ok, but noisier than I liked, and they faded fairly bad. I went with Napa Gold Ceramics, work good, little dust. The posi-lock is nice to have, I'd invest in it if you use your 4wd more than a few times a year. Locking hubs are too rich for my blood, but others have different feelings. Good luck.

that looks like it has rotors too? thats alot cheeper then the spindoctor but would i have to go back to them for the rotors if i needed new ones?, whats the posi-lock? i used my 4 wheel drive twice last week, so anything that makes it better and more reliable is a deff must for me.

Their is a few people that have had trouble contacting EMS. If you are down to spend money then go with slotted rotors and Bendix pads. As said posi-loc is nice I will be putting mine in when I do my gear change. I wont be doing any hub conversion kit I will spend my money else where JMO.
