You'll need a tapped banjo bolt (available from Wildcat Diesel or Geno's Garage) and a snubber/needle valve. You'll also need a 1/8"NPT/-4an (check on the -4; your line might have a 1/8" npt thread on it) adapter.

The banjo bolt goes in place of the schrader valve on the VP44 injection pump. It has a female end on it. The fuel pressure hose has a female end on it as well. That's why you need the adapter. Well, it's actually a male fitting but you get the idea.

What year is your truck?
The 98-99s had an easy spot to hook up on the fuel filter canister.

Also, where in Utah are you located?
(Welcome to the board by the way)

On my 2002 (which lacks the nice ports on top of the fuel cannister) they tapped into the input on the bottom of the can.
This gets it away from the destructive pulses found when you tap into the VP44 itself.

When I ordered the guage from Wildcat, it included all the necessary hardware to connect it up.

This is showing a Post-Filter hook-up.

I have 2002, And I live in Layton, Northern Ut. The bottom of the filter can looks very difficult to get to. I would like to use all stainless braided tubing.

Thank you for welcoming me to the board

I got mine from Geno's and it came with everything but the 1/8th in line. I just used a hose from a grease gun-A new hose. I took the schrader off the pump and hooked in there. My only problem was mounting the isolater took a while to find a good spot. I filled my line to the cab with radiator fluid and it works great. But I will also mention that at first it would hang at like 10 psi but I had to adjust the screw on the isolater and let a little air in......On the note of pressure does anyone else have trouble getting it to read right after you change the fuel filter? takes about a day for mine to give good readings.

If you don't want to tackle it yourself, I had Baker's Diesel in Ogden install mine.
