If you torque it correctly and use the stock pin which is already there then you should be good to go.

For a pulling truck you want to get it pinned. A Fluidamper rep told me that a couple of pullers out of Ohio managed to spin their dampers off at 5000+ rpms thus the pin was offered.

Did you pin yours ph4tty? Does a VP truck even need to consider this?

No real gain on performance but what a difference in idle, knock vibrations, etc... My engine use to shake quite a bit, now it's smooth like butter. Your internals will love you for putting one on. My factory balancer was falling apart so that's why I went to a fluid dampnr. Excellent product...

My sheet that came from Fluidampr claims:

5 hp and 3 ft/lbs on the Cummins
14 hp and 40 ft/lbs on the 6.0 Ford
6 hp and 18 ft/lbs on the Dmax

I bought it for smoother idle and less stress on parts and I've got a double disk clutch so I wanted to quiet that up some too. It's not on yet so I can't pass judgement yet.

Yes it does smooth things out. Do you still get the shut down chirp? Mine is gone forever

Yep, that was my thought too. I might tach a little higher just because it revs so quickly with the 4.10's that in drag racing it might be tough to shift quickly enough......especially if I add the squeeze........

Still, I'm thinking 3800 max for me. I'll have my F1 valve springs soon and won't worry about it holding it under 3100 any more. A vp truck won't get near 5000 to my knowledge. I think some pulling trucks running a Blue Chips box can see 4000.

Swap the 4.10s for a 3.31 =P At 60 you'd be at 2200 rpms, but in 5th gear I'd give you 10 mph in just 3rd =P (@ 3500)

The max rpm I've heard of on a 24v is 4200 using a hot redline box of some kind.
