Question Flooding turbo question

Yall can see my sig it's up to date. With the plate gone and gutted AFC I can smoke out the road, I kinda have it set up for all fuel control under my right foot. Could I get a faster spool up with the AFC and my #10 plate in and adjusted right than I do when I roll on the throttle. I guess my question is use my right foot, or tune a #10 and AFC? Any help would be awesome, thanks.

I vote for the plate and AFC.. I can still go by feel with the plate and AFC fully installed. You can feel the spring on the AFC with your toes and just push up against it for smoke free pulls with still good power.. You can still push through it if you want to for smoke shows, but that usually doesn't give the best power as you can feel the engine lug down until you get boost.

i dont run an afc, and my plate... almost isnt there. but with a controled right foot you can get the same effect, the afc and fuel plate pretty much just limit the travel of the fuel lever, which is controled by the pedal...

i tuned my afc to find my sweet spot and now i never have to push the pedal down much further it to pass 5 or 6 cars in a row on the two lane road leading to college. its a good and a bad thing cause if im not payin attention i can end up doin 85 in a 60. (i dont want a ticket)

Plate and AFC for sure. Gutted is fine if you want smoke, but you will have a faster, more responsive truck with a properly setup AFC. I'd run a plate, regardless if the AFC is there or not. I ran with a gutted AFC on my 24v for several months. I could drive it smoke free, but I had to be vigilant. You forget what you're doing and you're leaving a thick black cloud. Also, when you really want to get going, too much fuel chokes the engine and the turbo won't spool. And once it does start spooling, your foot isn't going to control the throttle well enough to straddle the line of 'too much fuel' while its coming up. Only downside to a tuned AFC is smoking out tailgaters, its much harder to do.
