First power upgrades?
First power upgrades?
I have a 2002 with a nv5600, 4:10 rears, hankook 35" rt03's, 2"spacers, i have a big fuel line kit installed, k&n filter, and a fuel pressure guage. All else is stock, and i have 197,000 miles on this beast. What are my first power upgrades from here while beeing able to use the stock injection pump? I will be installing a 4" exaust with a 3.5" down pipe in the next few weeks. I want to start playing with this thing, but i don't want to push it over the line as far as needing to mod everything so to speek. I load it down pretty hard with firewood, and tow once in a while, so that needs to be in the equasion. Thanks for any input.
Get a smart for blasting through gears quick =) Just watch the rpms because you can get past redline pretty quick. Then if you want more power the HO trucks really wake up with a set of injectors. You should be fine for fuel pressure with that setup.
How big or far with the injectors can i go with the stock fuel pump? So far a positive response for the smarty. I read a little about it, and it does seem nice. Does it correct the computer for the 35" tires? First i have to get the front end rolling smooth without all the shaking and comotion, Then i will start slipping in the power mods. Thanks for the input so far.
You should be OK with Smarty (definately should be 1st mod) and a set of 100 hp injectors, before needing a clutch.
Don't pull fuel pressure below 10 psi (to help protect injector pump).

Yes smarty can correct for tire sizes and an oem pump worked fine with stage 4 injectors on my truck. I had a line kit like your sig says you have too =)
