Firestik Fender Mount CB Antenna
Firestik Fender Mount CB Antenna
I know there's loads of info on cb antennas (already did a search, somewhat
). Please bear with me, I have one question.
Those of you that use the Firestik fender mount, is there enough room to use standard coax with a P 259 connector, or do I need to buy the special FireRing coax? Firestik says there may be clearance issues between the hood and fender.
Thanks

No, there is not enough room with the Firestik Ram fender mount to use a standard coax connector without the connector having a clearance issue with the fender. Even if there was just enough room, would you really want to? The Fire ring kit is just too cool, IMO and really cleans up the install in situations like this.
