If the machine work is done properly both systems work fine, daily driver or not.

Your best bet for durability is stainless steel O-rings.

In my research, most fire ring experts said, not for a daily ride. By around 20k miles they will need to be redone, or be leaking. For that reason I went with a stock head gasket with stainless wire oring in the head. I landed the oring wire in the center of the fire ring on the gasket. I cut the groove .030 deep and .039 wide. I used super glue to hold the wire well on the head, to be sure they didnt pop out during install. The wire protrudes about .010 . I copper sprayed the the oem gasket also, let it set up for about 30 minutes then installed it and the head.
