Fender flares - Bushwacker Vs. Xenon ?

I have tossed around getting flares for years. I had decided a long time ago to go with the OE style of either Bushwacker or Xenon. Essentially the same look except the materials and how they are mounted. Apparently Xenon is a better material? I don't know. They both mount differently and people were having concerns about the longterm effects to the fender underneath depending on the mounting.

I searched and only found some threads from last year. I wanted to know from guys who have one of these if you are noticing anything bad like wearing off paint or rust and debris under them based on the mounting method. I believe BW has the little rubber seal that goes around the edge. Has anyone found that to be bad or good?

If no problems, I would like to know that too!

Thanks.

Well, I had the Mopar flares (exactly like the Xenons I believe) on my '02 and had no real problems with them. They screwed on inside the fender lip and had 2-way tape against the body sides. Now on my '07 I have the Bushwackers, which have that rubber seal against the body sides and I can see them being an issue. Only been on for 3 months and already at the bottom of the box sides if you pull the flare down away from the body the paint is wearing. Not too impressed by that. If I was doing this again I would look at the Xenons.

I'm running the bushwacker flares and so far no issues with paint rub. Been on there since december.

I have the Xenon on my '98 12 valve QC. They fit real well and hold paint awsome. They attach just like Darren said. -Glen

I've had Bushwackers on mine for 4+ years, no problems.

Not OEM style, but the really big ones, Extend-A-Fenders.
