Exhaust Bypass

I want to put in a "Y" adapter with a valve to switch so I can go from straight pipe to regular exhaust.
I am thinking of putting a "Y" ahead of the muffler and running it to the back on the left hand side.
I have an onboard air compressor and I would like an air type actuator to control it from the dash.
Any help would be GREAT!!!!

Re:Exhaust Bypass

They make electric cutouts for 3" piping I believe. Get on of those. Buddy of mine has it on his T/A. Real slick setup.

Re:Exhaust Bypass

I don't know about the electrical ones, but Summit sells one with a removable cover.

Re:Exhaust Bypass

Take a look at this:

http://www.buickgn.com/electricexhaustcutout.htm

You will still have to have a manual cutout put in line with your exhaust but then you just bolt this to the dump. A couple of the Buick guys I know are running these and they work well from what I have heard.

HTH,
