engine will not turn off
engine will not turn off
Well I was working on my 4k gov kit trying to get it figured out because I have been haveing a few problems with the truck being jerky and all was going well. just figured I would crank the gov springs down 2 more clicks and be done with it. WRONG!!! now when I turn the "key" off it either takes a few minutes or will not at all shut the engine off. looked at the shut off silenoid works like a charm. checked it with the trucks running unpluged it and pushed the arm to shut it off and it did the same thing :not turn off" truck runs great it is right where I want it. It would be nice to beable to stop the truck w/o stalling it :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Re:engine will not turn off
Im not saying you didnt check it out fully but, mine did the same thing and it was in the shut off solenoid. Check the turnbuckle adjustment on the plunger. If theres nothing wrong there take the shut off sol. completely off, unplug it and operate the lever manually. If it still wont shut down Id say you need to back off your gov. springs a click and see if that helps.
Good luck

Re:engine will not turn off
The engine WILL shut down if the solenoid is working properly.
It simply rotates the plunger angle to not pump fuel by opening the spill port. No pressure to open the injectors.
I have had one hang up. At 5000rpm I scored a plunger. The plungers all being connected together cant rotate back if even one of them sticks. It also roached a pump cam. Expensive mistake. The only way to shut one down in this case is an air shut-off.
Check your solenoid adjustment and I am certain you will find the trouble.
