ok so my buddy has a chevy with an '01 cummins in it and hes wondering if there is anyway to hook a smarty programmer up to it? Has anyone done anything like this?

 

as long as the obd port is there. We have smartys in some cummins/ford conversions

 

the obd in the truck isnt hooked up to anything because of the cummins ecm being on the block all the engine electrical is basically self contained on the engine. so we need to find a way to wire an obd plug to the cummins wiring harness that is currantly not plugged into anything other then an ignition wire.

 

You will need to use the cummins OBD to plug the smarty in to.
