Hey guys I am new to this whole desiel stuff
I Baught a 2001 dodge desiel 5.9
The guy says it needs a electronic valve body

Would this stop ur vehicle from driving

It can, but it is not exactly a truly electronic body like the newer stuff. The Electronics involved are only OD and torque converter lockup engage and on the 47RE ( which you have ) the governor pressure control. This would likely be the issue.

First off, does it move at all? Any codes stored?
