EGT's seem high on Super B special

I got around to installing my super B special last night and just took it out for a drive today, I probably hit 12 psi max just accelerating, didn't want to push it hard so early. I noticed that my EGT's seem higher, even while cruising at 60-65 mph, they are 700-800, before I think they were about the same maybe a little less. when I was in lockup I gave it some gas, maybe to 12 psi or so and it hit about 1100 degrees, seems high to me, any thoughts? or is it normal?

You have to get that thing spooled for it to cool down the fuel. Don't just mash the pedal to the floor. You'll get used to it eventually. Cruising EGTs will probably be a little higher but it should cool a whole lot of fuel when you're playing.

Alright I kind of figured that when I get it going it should be better than it was, just seems high since I'm hardly making any boost atm. anyway can't wait for a few hundred miles then my foot will get heavier! Want to dyno it too, hopefully making 500, but who knows.

You're about right, it will get a tad warmer under low boost situations. Here's a video of my truck while cruising down the highway with Mach 6's.

That should be a good turbo for making power, even with the jammer 3's. High cruise egts = quick warmups in the winter
