egt's
egt's
wow, 11 am and i'm already off work, i'll i did today was clean my rifle, and go home, it's great to be a grunt. Well anyway, i am working on my truck now, i was wondering a few things. This weekend, i turned the starwheel all the way open, and put the plate all the way torwards the front of the truck, and with my other mods such as the 370 injectors and delivery valves. shouldn't i be making some pretty hot egt's. according to my pyro, which is preturbo, i am max 900 degrees wot. it's not like the truck is not getting fuel either, she really gets up an goes, but i would think the egt's would had atleast hit 1200. maybe i'm missing something. any help would be appreciated. TIA
yup, you're runnin alot hotter than 900# pre turbo, with my 96' 5 spd. & a 10 plate full forward, starwheel maxed, 4" exhaust, & a 16cm non wastegated housing on the stock HX35, I could bury a 1600# pyro with the thermocouple in the manifold, & I was running stock 215hp sticks. so I'd definatly say with the 370's you're running pretty warm, might wanna try borrowing another pyro & trying again just to see if the gauge is bad, Dusty
thanks for the quick response guys, i will definetly baby the truck until i get another pyro, although, melting some pistons would give me an excuse to build a twin turbo engine, lol, wife would not like that too much.
