Can You Tap The Pump Wire And Untap At Will? Will There Be Any Problems With Tapping And Uptaping?

 

I doubt it would be a problem as long as you tapped/untapped it a different way. Tapping the pump wire pierces the pump wire. Doing and undoing over and over again is going to put a lot of holes in the wire allowing moisture etc to get in and corrode the wire which would be very bad news. I would tap it and cut the wire going to the edge box at an appropriate place and use one of those weathertight wire nuts or something instead of actually messing with the pump tap. When "untapped" have two wire nuts, one for the end of each wire for protection and to prevent shorting of the wires in anyway. Or you could tap the pump, cut the wire going to the edge box from the pump as above and wire in a switch of your choice. Then all you would have to do is flip your switch.

 

Why you need to untap it anyways? You can take the Juice back to stock if you wish or just run in on Level 1 like I do unless I'm towing or messing around.
