Edge EZ Settings

Just picked up a used Edge EZ and was wondering what jumper settings to use. The truck is an 02 HO 6spd. It is usually driven unloaded or flat towing a 3k lb Jeep. Do I need to change the jumper if I ever get my toyhauler and increase the towing load?

i put mine on the farthest right setting (the most aggressive) and leave it there. if u put in the boost elbow it runs cooler EGT wise, with the EZ, than it does stock

The difference in the 3 settings define when the extra fueling starts:

Position 1 - extra fueling starts at 20psi boost (far left - circuit board on bottom)
Position 2 - extra fueling starts at 10psi boost
Position 3 - extra fueling starts at 2psi boost (far right)

As for what level, I run mine almost all the time on 2 as it keeps my cruise control happier. But I've towed on 3 many times. The best way to know what level you can safely tow on is to keep an eye on your EGTs. I never had any EGT problems as it stayed plenty cool, but YMMV.

I've been thru two EZ boxes that had the circuit board on the top when mounted with the logo up.

The third box should be here in a few days. I wonder where the cb will be on this one? I really don't care where it is, I would just like for the box to last longer then a year.

I've heard this from a few people. It had been so long since I switched settings on my EZ, I had to go out and test it at Lewisville the other weekend to make sure I didn't accidentally go back to setting 1.

This is my original EZ and I haven't had any trouble with it yet (knock on wood...where's some wood?). Hopefully I'll have similar luck with my Comp.

My fifthwheel is about 9,000lbs with it loaded and I've been runnin my EZ on the lowest settings without any EGT problems. This next trip I'm going to run it on next highest setting. Where I travel there'a lots of mountains. The thing to remember is to watch your EGT gauge and keep the egt temps at save limits. ( remember you can control the egt with your foot ) I'm also putting in toggle switches so I won't have to remove the cover and change the jumpers!

Have fun,
Gary

The EZ performs best with the jumper set on #1, least aggressive. If you want more bottom end fueling, that's what injector are for

Seriously, the least aggressive setting gives the most driver control, the smoothest CC function, and best MPG. The aggressive settings are fun, but the last 2" of pedal are worthless, and I wanted to feel a difference with my FOTFB!!
