I recommend it. Great driveability, nice power upgrade. Get a hold of member Bob Wagner for prices. Be careful though, if you've got a stock auto the catcher might damage it. It comes on VERY strong on the bottom end.

ECM is engine control module all ctds have them its on the side of your block (look behind your fuel filter). A edge ez or va is a seperate box that alters the program from the ecm for fueling and timeing . The catcher is a reprogramed factory ecm off your truck. I think they are $800 with a $400 core charge on your ecm. A guy in Italy or somewhere reprograms them and Bob Wagner in Oregon imports and sells them. Someone before was reprograming ecm and got sued by Cummins.
The Catcher ECM is said to give beter power and beter at low end than ez or edge.

Correct me if I got anything wrong...

Rick

If you're going for big power, you should look at an Edge Comp or drag box(power is easy to get addicted to, trust me ). It's in cab adjustable so you can turn it off. You cannot turn the MAD ECM off. The comp costs more but has a lot more features and will get you more power. Correct me if I'm but I don't think the MAD ECM adds much power, it just changes the way the truck feels. I could be wrong and I'm sure someone won't hesitate to correct me

Ain't that the truth. At first it was a comp in EZ mode. Then it was 275 injectors and the comp. Then it was a KSB-1 turbo. And then today I just put 100+hp EDM injectors in the truck. The tranny is hopefully getting built in 6 months and then it's all gonna hang out. When does this end?

Some stuff may be incorrect.
MAD Catcher ECMs are $500 plus ~$250 core charge if you keep your stock ECM. Last I checked.

And, I can't imagine why anyone would ever turn this thing off.

"It doesn't add any power." ***?

MAD adds somewhere around 60 hp... The deal with it is drivability, fun, and response... They get rid or most (all?) low end defuling.

They are not what you want if you only want dyno numbers, but seem like the ideal upgrade for a driver...

Plus you can get a "special" cAtCHer and stack it with a TST or Comp.
