dynoing...change tires or not?
i know we had a thread that discussed that there IS a difference with stock vs 35" tall tires on the dyno due to weight and diameter...
i am dynoing next saturday and im debating whether i should throw some stockers in the truck to put on when i get there or if i should just do it on the 35's...i want to see exactly what the truck is making, but i dont wanna be a ricer and "cheat" using the smaller tires to get a bigger number.
i already know my torque is gonna be way low with a decent hp number due to lack of boost before 2000rpms, but i wanna know exactly what the truck is making.

well its one or the other...because we have 40 trucks to dyno in one day and you get 3 runs and off the dyno for the next guy...

I don't care how much hp my truck puts out if its more than GB's =P
Let me shut up before GB rolls in with 4 of those spare tire donuts on his truck
Seriously though, I'd think the larger tires would help load the engine better and produce more boost- just a theory and not speaking from experience here

sadly i can guarantee you will have more hp...hrvp and mach 4's with a much quicker spooling turbo...lucky SOB...i need to sell the 55 for a smaller turbo

I'd base the decision on what you are hoping to accomplish with the dyno session. Are you wanting to do better than someone else? Then the smaller rubber is the way to go.
If you want a more accurate measure of how you use the truck daily, use the 35s.
I'd personally do that latter, as I want to know what I *have*, not would I *could* have.
Heck, I *could* have more power with twins or nitrous or whatever, but that's not what I have now, is it...
