Dyno'd This Weekend!!!!!
Well, I heard thru the grapevine yesterday that Redline Diesel was gonna have a dyno event at the DirtAlliance Dirt Tour offroad show at the Perris Raceway in Perris Ca. So I headed over for my firstever dyno pull. I was expecting a bit higher numbers. My results, 325.9 HP and 816.1 ftlbs. I really thought I'd be closer to 400 HP and just under 900 ftlbs.

What do you guys think? Looking at my sig, are my numbers low? Why is my HP flat and the TQ slope's down? I would have thought that the HP would drop with the TQ.
Now something I did think of, because this was way last minute, I didn't change my oil, replace my fuel filter or clean my airfilter; which are all over due by a few hundred miles.
I have a Snow Stage 3 Water/Meth kit I haven't installed yet. Besides a larger turbo, what else would you all suggest?

what kind of boost do you see?
i can tell you that i gained 15hp just by removing the BHAF for the dyno run (42 psi boost on a B1 turbo).
the big tires suck HP, use a couple of spare tires on the rear next time (some other Dodge guy will have a second spare to add to your stock spare).
injectors and a turbo will get you going!

Most 24vs with just a chip like Juice, Edge Comp, or Adreneline laydown around 320-330hp on our dynojet 248 but you have the rv275s I would of thought you'd be up around 370ish. But what kind of dyno was is Mustang or a Super flow?

It was hitting 35 lbs of boost. And I really don't know what kind of dyno it was. Can you tell by the video?
470 now thats pretty funny right there, i did 360 with hot juice and rv 275's and hit 410 with the water, your numbers are a little low, and a good service would have helped alittle.
Was the pull done in OD?
Why did the pull end before 3000 plus RPM? A stock truck peaks around 2700, but with fueling boxes and injectors, the power band moves up a few hundred R's.
The flat HP is disturbing almost like there was tire spin, torque converter slipage, or something a miss. Was your filter minder pulled down like your turbo was starved for air?

The pulls were done in 3rd gear, O/D was turned off. He asked me what RPM I didn't want to exceed. I said 3000, even though redline is 3200. It does kinda look like he ended even sooner, now that you mentioned it. I did engage my torque convert lock switch, but I really couldn't see the tack and speedo, so I don't know for sure if the torque converter was slipping; though I do know what that sounds and feels like, so I didn't notice it.
EDIT: My billet T/C is only a single. I have yet to notice any slipping from it. Maybe it was on the dyno.

Yeah I saw that, but the question asked of me was if it was a Mustang or a Superflow. How many different kinds of dyno's are there? And do they are read differently?

Dyno to dyno comparisions aren't fair especially when comparing different types of dynos. Most of us have uncorrected dynojet numbers and those should be be fairly consistent. By itself that dyno sheet only tells me that peak torque was achieved before 2000 rpms, but it did capture a peak hp reading.
Just for comparison, I know our trucks are different, my dyno runs had peak torque at 2500 rpm and peak HP at 2950 rpm. My HP is a perfect mirror image from 2800 to 3200 rpm with the peak in the center.
Your numbers seem to hit a max fuel delivery and flat line, almost as if you were getting zero pump stretch from the Xzillaraider and just 70 HP Can Bus fueling from the XZT+. Can you feel a big difference on the street when you turn the Xzillaraider on?

I see it's a dyno dynamics, not the most common dyno for the world of diesel trucks. Not saying it's more accurate or less than a dynojet but the 248's seem to be the best measuring stick out for comparing all these diesel trucks across the country and having fair circumstances between all of them when it's a Uncorrected number.
