I would run Smarty on 7 or 9 and disconnect the EZ. Then see what you EGT's do! Just guessing but I think that would help.... maybe on the HP also!
Something about a Smarty and an EZ at the same time just doesn't sound right. Since the Smarty re-writes the ECM program, I suspect the EZ timing is being over ruled and your getting no timing advance with the Smarty on even #'s.... maybe. Worth trying in a back to back test on the same hill somewhere.
