DTT what a joke! they took 5K of my money for a tranny that never worked right. If you live in NC call Jeff Garmon in Griffin GA and he will fix you up right. It's worth the drive

Numerous times over several months It got so bad I was going to sell my truck after speaking to them several times bill informed me that he was not a big shop whatever that meant, I just wanted them to stand behind their product I have never been so let down and displeased by a product.

Do you still have their tranny in your ride?

Olee poole is in salisbury, He's a DTT and Suncoast man, But theres plenty of shops around, If your having DTT Problems , I would go somewhere that sells DTT Parts. I've heard in some senses that DTT maybe having some issues but cant speak personally , I really prefer suncoast products!

check out dunrite to, there coming up.

heykw 10-26-2007 09:22 PM

I agree go suncoast or go home on a trailer.

mysterync 10-26-2007 09:25 PM

I've heard good things About Dunrite as well!
If you go suncoast , You'll never regret it, Even if the vendor you purchase from wont back somthing up suncoast will! John, Joan and Ernie are some great folks!

it sounds like something is up with the governor. Check the connections on the voltage regulator while the truck is running, to make sure it's not bouncing around, could be a bad connector.
May also need to put a pressure gauge on the gov test port to see what's up there. it doesn't sound like the tranny has an issue.

Doesn't matter who's stuff you buy, they are all prone to issues with the electronics.

Dont the Govs. Generaly throw a check engine light?

jkretzer 10-27-2007 07:50 AM

do the recommended service, start by following DTT's instructions of they wont warrenty anything. service interval is 500-1000 miles after initial rebuild. you need to adjust the second gear band since the material on the band does compress some. also check your pressures, that will tell you everything that is going on in that trans. you need to drop the pan.

others- this was started as a "help me" thread not "my auto is best, or i dont like this company BS." lets try to point this guy in the right direction.

Not really- as long as the sensor is within reasonable limits it won't even throw a code.
(But still mess up shifting to a point where it gets undriveable)

ncdodgeman20: Did you check the usual suspects? Fluid level, color and smell? Electrical connectors (Plug on the tranny and the PCM)? Take a look at the wiring loom (Sometimes it gets pinched or rubbed through).

Does your truck trhow any codes?
