Rip told me his tech's do it in 20 minutes. He said for the first time, set aside an hour and I'll be done early.

Installed after a break

My shaft broke in a parking lot. I have heard that this happens sometimes with bigger tires and a drop down pitman arm...longer drop because of the lift)

Put one on with the new steering gear box because I never want to see that happen again!

Took a good hour start to finish.

Just got home from business travel. The DSS was sitting at the front door! Hopefully I'll find time one evening this week to get it on!

Is this DSS kit complete or do you have to buy anything else with it?

Complete.

I just had to get a grease gun and a really big "crescent" wrench.

I'd say it's one mod that pays for itself, over and over again.

yes, a large socket would be better than an adjustable wrench.

Figured I'd get more use out of the big wrench then the socket though.

I went ahead and bought the socket. Little sucker comes in handy when you have to remove your power steering pump 3 different times after you've installed the DSS. I love mine. It made the world of difference in the wandering feel my truck had.

Question

Ok where in the hell do you get one....

I got to have it, I assume it uses that bracket that is already there. It looks like some sort of steering stabilizer bracket...

Great people, gerat product, great customer service. When I ordered mine he accidentally forgot to ship the locking sleeve with the bearing. When I called him and talked to him about it, he told me that he'd over night me one at no charge. When I told him not to worry and that I'd just go and pick it up he offered to reimburse me for it. In the end I told him not to worry about it and that I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't crazy. Real nice guy.
