i have a 4 inch down pipe for an hx35 i was woundering if any one has made one into a hx 40 downpipe and what all it takes to do

 

The outlet neck is 4" with a bell shaped flair for the HX40, where your HX35 is necked down to 3". You'd have to have the 4" bell and some piece of pipe to be able to weld it on the 4" section with the right angles. Why not just buy a HX40 DP for $75?

 

if you could point me in a direction of finding one for that price i would be interseted

You'll be time and money ahead just buying a premade HX-40 DP, and selling your 35 DP. The HX-40 flange is not that much cheaper then just buying the whole DP, believe me I looked into the same thing when I put my bigger turbo on.
